Double Mats (Black Core)
Regular matboard with a black core offers an alternative to the standard cream cored matboard. It is buffered to have a pH neutral (acid-free) core and backing paper.
Black core mats are manufactured by Crescent or Nielsen Bainbridge and are suitable for many applications where conservation matting is not necessary.
