Cream, Black, or White Core

Regular matboard is the standard paper board of the industry. It is buffered to have a pH neutral (acid-free) core and backing paper.

MatShop carries three core colors in stock for regular matboard.

• Cream core matboard is the standard of the industry and offers the widest range of colors.
• Black core matboard is slightly higher in cost, but has a very black core.
• White core matboard is higher-priced than cream cores, but has a bright white core (similar to that of conservation matboard)

Our regular matboard is manufactured by either Crescent or Nielsen Bainbridge. It suits many applications where conservation matting is not necessary.
